Rescue Me ID: 15-01-23-00415Meka (female)

Papillon    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

You may have heard the National news story about the 21 dogs that were rescued from a hoarding situation in San Diego recently. If you haven't, below is the article. Meka was 1 of those 21 dogs. When we rescued her, she was in bad shape (her before and after pictures are on this listing). He was matted, has a missing tooth, scared but was surprisingly in the best shape out of the 21 dogs. How quickly things changed for Meka: The Animal Pad rescued her along with 2 more of her housemates, took her straight to the vet then on an International Reality Show about Dog culture and grooming in the US where she got her snazzy pink ears and ... (Read More)tail(see pictures). Meka was actually the star of the show as the host picked her to shoot most scenes with. The host wanted to adopt Meka but living in the Netherlands made that non feasible. Meka is quite possibly one of the sweetest dogs we have ever met! She absolutely loves to be in your lap at all times. Cuddling is her favorite past time and it was clear that she hasn't had one on one human affection in a long time, if ever. Meka does amazing with all dogs and is currently fostered with 2 other small pups. Because of Meka's love of dogs, we would like to see her adopted into a home with at least one other pup. is the absolute perfect companion and she does incredibly well in the car and just sits quietly wherever you take her! We could also go on an on about how much we love this little lady but we will stop so you can go an fill out an adoption application for her! Meka is about 5-6 years old, 9 lbs, up to date on vaccines, just had her teeth cleaned, microchipped, spayed, perfectly groomed and ready for her forever home. Her adoption fee is $250 and if you are interested in adopting her, please fill out our online application: https://theanimalpad.org/applications/adoption News article about the 21 dogs: http://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local/21-Dogs-Impounded-During-Shelltown-Eviction-288780441.html (Less)

Maltese Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

You may have heard the National news story about the 21 dogs that were rescued from a hoarding situation in San Diego recently. If you haven't, below is the article. Charlie was 1 of those 21 dogs. When we rescued him, he was in bad shape (his before and after pictures are on this listing). He was matted in feces, shivering and staring blankly at the wall of the kennel. How quickly things changed for Charlie: The Animal Pad rescued him along with 2 more of his housemates, took him straight to the vet then on an International Reality Show about Dog culture and grooming in the US where he got his snazzy blue ears and tail(see pictures). ... (Read More)Charlie is quite possibly one of the sweetest dogs we have ever met! He absolutely loves to be in your lap at all times. Cuddling is his favorite past time and it was clear that he hasn't had one on one human affection in a long time, if ever. Charlie does okay with other small dogs but is intimidated by large dogs. Because of his past, Charlie would probably be best as the only dog because he just lives for one on one human affection. He is actually quite the diva and loves to be the center of attention! He also prances when he walks and we could watch him for hours! We could also go on an on about how much we love this little man but we will stop so you can go an fill out an adoption application for him!
