Rescue Me ID: 16-06-22-00252Howard (male)

German Shepherd Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Howard is a 4-year-old male mixed breed (German Shepard / Rhodesian Ridgeback) - Howard is the strong silent type. He's a very big boy but super mellow, very polite and quite. If it wasn't for his 90-pound frame, you wouldn't even know he is around. - He has the most beautiful gold/green eyes. - Despite his size, he walks beautifully on a leash, fits well into the back of a compact car and knows his basic commands. - He is low to medium energy - a walk once a day and access to the yard should be plenty to keep this boy happy! - He has lived with dogs in the past and currently lives with two lab foster siblings, but doesn't need to go to a ... (Read More)home with another dog. He has taken a liking to a few dogs at day camp and will play with them but most dogs he seems to ignore. He also lives with a little human and like her plenty well. - Howard does best when he is around people. He doesn't have to be by your side - he just likes to know that you're home with him. He is learning that it's ok to be alone sometimes but probably wouldn't do well if left alone all day during the work week. He would much rather you worked from home or maybe he could go to work with you? (he's gone to the office before and does quite well) Otherwise, he loves to hang out with his friends at Camp-run-a-mutt during the day! - Howard likes to take naps (on the floor, in the sun, on the couch - he's not particular), meet new people, go on walks and be by your side. - Fun fact - he has an extra toe on each back paw! - he is neutered, microchipped and up-to-date on vaccines Howard's adoption fee is $200 and if you are interested in adopting him, please head over to our website and fill out an adoption application: https://www.theanimalpad.org/adopt-today.html (Less)
